This team will focus on all aspects of demand generation strategy with a core competency in transportation products and technology. This team informs growth strategy, powers customer acquisition and expansion, champions customer experience, influences product roadmaps, surfaces key data and insights, and creates process enhancement.

Walmart is scaling new and innovative transportation services that utilize Walmart’s global supply chain scale and expertise. This is a ground floor business development and account management role within the revenue organization to onboard and manage new accounts.  

You’ll make an impact by:  

  • Leading consultative sales efforts to secure new business and expand existing relationships for the company. 

  • Managing and growing a robust pipeline of opportunities within key target industry verticals. 

  • Seamlessly switching between closing new business and growing your existing customer portfolio, demonstrating the ability to move quickly and effectively. 

  • Bringing expertise in sales and bid negotiation strategy, particularly in the FTL transportation space. 

  • Generating strategic account plans, detailing a roadmap towards developing meaningful relationships and providing impactful solutions that customize our unique value proposition for your customer portfolio 

  • Navigating complex national accounts, building relationships with key decision makers, stakeholders, and influencers. 

  • Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and champion innovative customer-focused solutions. 

  • Offering guidance on the development of sales enablement tools and processes, including CRM systems, in a resource-constrained environment. 

  • Being part of the “founding team” for Business Development and shaping the culture of the team and identifying and sharing best practices as they emerge in your work. 

  • Working with minimal guidance, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and independence. 

  • Being flexible and able to wear a lot of hats during early-stage growth motions  

Preferred Qualifications   

  • 6+ years experience in a business development and/or account management within the transportation and logistics industry. 

  • Proven results meeting or exceeding sales growth targets for new and/or existing business 

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and are enthusiastic to “roll up your sleeves”  

  • Can take a proactive, consultative approach, building trust consistently and quickly   

  • Skilled at prioritization and organization and work well under pressure   

  • Hold a high standard of ethics and integrity    

  • Previous experience being a Sales & Business Development leader 

  • Experience building from 0 to 1    

  • A background in freight brokerage and/or FTL transportation growth strategy or sales & account management  

  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills  

  • Consistently hit objectives and goals

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
