As a Software Engineer in Operations, you will first learn about the World largest retailer’s innovative design solutions in delivering millions of products to Stores /Customer doorsteps in the most cost-effective ways. You will get firsthand experience in understanding the sophisticated order journey flow in Walmart.

By joining our team, you will know how the world’s largest retailer’s core Last mile operation looks like, including some of the transformational automations performed to deliver freights faster from warehouse, Stores and to eComm business. You will get to witness some of the tech advancements that are revolutionizing the supply chain market. We will channelize our efforts by making sure customers choose freight from millions of exclusive offers from Walmart's 1P and 3P Suppliers and receives their orders on time in full. This position will also require us to interact with members working on Walmart's fully Automated and Microfulfillment Centers and channelize their effort on improving the throughput of customer orders in an omnichannel environment.

What you'll do...

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and own the monitoring framework interfacing with various applications.
• Lead and collaborate with Developers, Product teams, and Business stakeholders to support new feature launches and service deployments.
• Enhance deployment automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth research to optimize existing systems and prevent issues.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, analytics, and automated reporting.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Take proactive measures to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Act as a key point of escalation for critical production issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Improve and refine on-call support processes and incident management strategies.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and operations.
• Strong expertise in Java 8, Shell Scripting, and SQL/no-SQL Databases (MongoDB, MS SQL, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, Elastic).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proficiency in caching and messaging solutions (Kafka, Megacache, Couchbase).
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk, Medusa, Kibana).
• Familiarity with React, Mobile SDKs, and functional programming languages like F#.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on automation.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
