Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Design, develop and optimize software solutions tailored to the advertising domain. Write high-quality reusable code in React ES6+, JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, and Java Spring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance the Display Ad Center Platform. Innovate and drive technical vision and influence the organization's product roadmap and vision for Ad Targeting, Measurement, and Reporting. Identify ways to improve the quality and reliability of the team's codebases and work to ensure that they meet the organization standards for operational and engineering excellence. Create high quality documentation and architectural design records for easy understanding of the codebases, applications, and features. Help with onboarding new teammates and participate in pair-programming and team collaboration exercises.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
Skills required: Experience building modular, scalable, and high-performance web applications using the Electrode and ElectrodeX, React ES6+, JavaScript and Typescript frameworks, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with front-end application fundamentals including Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state management using Redux, Redux Sagas, and Context API. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining REST API endpoints and enterprise server-side web applications using Java Spring Boot. Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Looper CI/CD, and OneOps. Experience implementing telemetry and logging pipelines using Dynatrace, Splunk, and Spotlight. Experience with version control using Git and GitHub. Experience in agile methodologies including Scrum. Experience writing unit tests using Jest, JUnit, Mockito and React Testing Library. Experience maintaining existing codebases and improving code quality and coverage using SonarQube and CodeGate. Experience integrating Front-end and Back-end applications with relational databases including MySQL and Azure SQL Server. Experience with performance and optimization techniques including code splitting, usage of Hooks, lazy loading, and memorization in React and JavaScript frameworks. Experience using UI/UX tool Figma for front-end application design and collaboration. Experience creating comprehensive technical design documentation and visualizing system architecture through flowcharts, layouts, and architecture diagrams using Confluence, Draw.io, and MS Word. Experience designing and enhancing software solutions for the retail industry. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
