Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Ensure timely publishing of various Customer Scorecards and related insights for Wal-Mart’s leadership. Translate the voice of the customer (VOC) to actions that the business partners can take that improve customer experience and drive conversion. Measure the impact of various features, innovation, and events on customer experience and engagement to ensure Walmart is meeting customer objectives. Partner with eCommerce Business, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to connect to deliver insights on areas of improvement to increase online customer engagement. Identify data quality issues in data assets and suggest and implement fixes for data quality issues. Create data science models that enable the business to understand why metrics move the way they do. Create consumption layers of data science model outputs for downstream use. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve implementation of customer feedback systems. Guide an offshore contract team of analytics resources. Understand data and analytics needs of Wal-Mart’s business and create recommendations, prototypes, and products that support them. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Analytics (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience with fundamentals of eCommerce related system design (including Digital assets, CDN, Analytics instrumentation, Measurement mechanisms, and APIs). Experience with data manipulation and modelling software including Advanced MS Excel and SQL. Experience with coding language Python for statistical modelling and data manipulation. Experience designing and creating data visualizations and dashboards to enable self-serve for FAQs using at least one of the following: Tableau, RShiny, Looker, or PowerBI. Experience creating automated decks and scripts to communicate results with leadership using Python wrappers for MS PowerPoint and MS Word. Experience with advanced analytics including Customer Segmentation, Site Analytics, Customer Behavior Modelling, and Customer Experience Valuing. Experience creating hypotheses and statistical techniques, including design of experiments, metric design, methods for statistical inference, statistical coding, and result interpretation and communication. Experience working with Google Cloud Platform. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $107,950/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
