Product Operations, Sr Product Manager

What you’ll do:

  • Partner effectively with Product Management and cross-functional teams (including Business, UX, and Engineering) to successfully research, design, implement and mature  new operational frameworks

  • Systemically manage a framework and communication structure for product life cycle activities including release management, support triage, and product ideation for commercial grade, B2B centric-launches

  • Product OKR management, tracking, reporting, and triaging

  • Own the operationalization of product processes, artifacts, reporting, analysis, and stakeholder evangelization

We’re seeking a candidate who has:

  • 8+ years of Product Operations or Program Management experience in a eComm-based business; B2B experience especially relevant

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational change programs

  • Demonstrated ability to own and enhance operational processes and frameworks

  • Expert with a variety of product development processes and methodologies

  • Experience with product development and cross-functional processes

  • Experience with executive stakeholder communications, reporting, and evangelization

  • Experience with a variety of project management and product development tools; experience with AirTable a plus

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Sr Product Manager: a cross-functional role

This B2B customer-focused Sr. Product Manager, Product Operations Lead will coordinate and guide multi-year roadmap for the Walmart Business customer and member. This business unit is a growing business-within-a business and one of the top priorities for Walmart with significant growth opportunity.

We are looking for a Product Operations Lead who has the passion to lead and direct large-scale, complex, roadmaps and tracking mechanisms while elegantly navigating large organizations and influencing executives, stakeholders, partner teams effectively.   

Your work will help grow our e-commerce site for business customers and you will have a direct impact on the business goals of the Fortune #1 company. This role also offers a unique opportunity to innovate and improve on ways to use Walmart’s eComm & omni-channel products to solve tangible customer problems. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial (or intrapreneurrial) background and a passion for great customer-centric online products. Background in B2B (eComm, SaaS, etc.) is an advantage.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if… 

  • You are able to be both visionary and execution-focused, swiftly maneuvering between minute details and the “bigger picture”

  • You have minimum of 5+ years of relevant work in consumer-focused product management, owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple technology teams

  • You have relevant experience in B2B, retail, fintech, or B2B software / services industry as consumer-facing product manager. 

  • Your passion for technology is clear, and you have a willingness to dive deep into the technical products Walmart is building

  • Your ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrixed organization shines

  • You have a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and convincingly to a wide range of audiences

  • You often manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners

  • You’re willing to dig into data and tell an influential story based on the analysis.

  • You prioritize effectively without second thought, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team

  • Being a go-to partner and resource for various stakeholders across the organization

  • Being an expert in the process and tools you implement and develop – you will manage the establishment of a new way of managing product lifecycles at Walmart Business  

  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing implementation milestones, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership

  • Building a team environment by partnering to solve problems and staying focused until there is a solution

  • Working effectively with associates across multiple geographic locations and with diverse backgrounds

  • Being decisive regarding what best, next steps are to move product operations into a functioning source of value for the Walmart Business Product team 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor of Science and 5 years in product or program management experience OR Master of Science and 2 years' product or program management experience OR 9 years' product or program management experience. 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or equivalent in experience 

  • 8+ years in consumer-side product management 

  • Two years of successful execution in a matrixes organization 

  • Ability and willingness to think and act strategically and tactically
