Job Summary:

As Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Global Tech, you will be leading a team of 8+ engineers for Finance Technology and Engineering. You will be responsible for delivering core capabilities that cut across our Accounts Payable Systems, with a deep focus on building new platform capabilities for Insights and Analytics.


What you'll do:

  • Build, develop and guide high-performing talent for the Finance Systems engineering team. 
  • Engage and guide the team technically. Get involved in design and architecture and hands on coding if required. 
  • Define a long-term talent development and support strategy cutting across technology roles.  
  • Engage with leadership across the world and set up strategies and priorities to maintain the platform   
  • Own and support delivery for all applications in your responsibility.  
  • Create a collaborative environment across geography for delivering best services to our end users across in our Distribution Centers around the world.    
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.   
  • Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates who report into you.


What you'll bring:

  • An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any technology related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems 
  • 2+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 8+ engineers. 
  • Passion for developing engineers.  
  • Good understanding of scalable cloud-based architecture. 
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Data warehousing / modeling strategies. 
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership for development and design of at least one project.  
  • Should have experience in writing/reviewing design & code in Java/J2EE.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.  
  • Environments/tools: Jira, Git, Confluence, Excel, PPT  
  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.  
  • Mentoring/coaching engineers from Junior to Senior Engineer. 
  • Focus on reusability, frameworks, patterns, and configurations tools for faster development.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
