Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design and develop microservices including API development, pipeline scripts, CLI scripts and framework development. Work with NoSQL databases including Cosmos database and Solr. Develop complex scripts to perform computations and integrate systems with the application to expose the functionality using APIs. Develop scalable and resilient backend application using Java, SpringBoot, REST, and Tomcat.  Integrate the application with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Azure, and Prometheus. Conduct performance testing and utilize rest assured framework for automation testing. Create dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana to monitor the service KPIs for availability and SLAs. Participate in production support on-call schedules.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills Required: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using object-oriented programming languages Python, Java, and Typescript to build scalable and resilient applications. Experience performing regular activities with SQL database Oracle and NoSQL database MongoDB or Cosmos. Experience monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting applications in production using Grafana and Kibana. Experience designing and implementing testing frameworks for unit testing and automation testing. Experience with DevOps, Docker, Jenkins, Looper, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with technologies for Data Integration Transformation, Distributed Streaming Platform, and Distributed Version Control System. Experience with scripting languages including Bash and Shell. Experience creating workflows and dashboards in JIRA and Confluence. Experience troubleshooting and triaging production issues using cloud-based application monitoring tools and analytical tools. Experience performing root cause analysis to reduce customer impact. Experience working with others to design and implement code to production quality and scalable software. Experience collaborating with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features. Experience working with distributed public cloud platforms. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
