Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation and deployment of complex applications. Develop modular and scalable code for web services and data processing services. Collaborate effectively with the developers, product managers, business analysts, solution architects and General Availability teams. Perform code review with peers and architects. Maintain production systems, triage arising issues, participate in on-call duties, and handle operational scenarios. Maintain and enhance existing implementations across multiple product lines.     

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience gathering requirements and translating into technical designs and solutions. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using Java. Experience designing and implementing data processing services using leading technologies including Kafka and Spark. Experience maintaining systems running in production and triaging issues using operational knowledge. Experience troubleshooting production issues, open issues, and bug fixes by gathering information and performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues and engage support teams. Experience providing support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues regarding technical feasibility and implementation strategies. Experience participating in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to develop high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams. Experience communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders. Experience collaborating with project team and cross functional teams to identify areas of opportunity, interpret information, and identify solutions. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $174,518/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
