Supports code development for eCommerce projects by participating in project team meetings to develop project plans; reviewing project requirements to determine coding needs; providing insight to software developers regarding project quality requirements; and providing guidance regarding code development to ensure testability and reliability.
Leads quality assurance work streams for medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; providing guidance in the writing and developing of code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
Leads quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software by collaborating with project teams to establish test cases and requirements; writing test cases (for example, white, gray, or black box) and system test scenarios in accordance with project requirements and established standards; approving and executing test cases; obtaining test case approval from the cross-functional team; applying test case instructions to products under testing; executing test cases; evaluating results against expected results; and updating project teams regarding results and needed fixes.
Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test strategies for large, complex projects by overseeing development of test plans; determining exact testing scope for assigned projects; reviewing and approving data and environmental requirements; identifying dependencies and risks; identifying necessary resources (for example, staff, equipment); and outlining quality assurance deliverables and deadlines.
Troubleshoots critical defects in software coding by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, critical, possible root cause); developing unit testing plans to test code; establishing testing standards and processes to meet quality metrics; interpreting results to determine further action; evaluating errors to identify trends; performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; resolving code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors.
