Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Possess knowledge of: Financial modeling practices and techniques; financial reports used by the organizationand assigned function; sales forecasting systems. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Generates standard reports that quantifyimpacts of seasonal trends for a product/service or line; demonstrates the fundamentals of financial forecasting and modeling; gathers informationnecessary to run a forecasting model; produces and reports the results of forecast modeling to management; resolves common forecasting problemsin the application of modeling; participates in the preparation of short-term forecasts for a retail product/service or location. Influential Communication : Possess knowledge of: Verbal/nonverbal behaviors; application and allocation of business communicationstyles/techniques in ambiguous and challenging situations; situational awareness; communication channels/mediums; interpersonal skills anduniversal relationship building with ability to connect seemingly unconnected parties; influencing styles. Assortment Strategy & Management: Possess knowledge of: Assortment analytics sources and reports; assortment performance metrics; assortmentmanagement tools. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Gathers basic reports used for product assortment management; describesthe purpose of tools and benchmarks used for assortment management; demonstrates a basic understanding of the concepts and practicesassociated with assortment management in the retail industry; cites examples of seasonal considerations and adjustments to planned-versus -actualassortment mix. Digital Literacy and Analytics: Possess knowledge of: Sources of relevant data; data analysis techniques; data dashboard tools (for example,PowerBI, Tableau); sources of industry trend information; spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. To be able to carry out the followingresponsibilities: Leverages data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data; develops and tests hypotheses; uses data to influence strategicwork; builds and presents insights; identifies, implements, and drives technology change within scope of work; uses visualization tools to representdata and construct coherent stories to influence decisions; uses customer analytics for basic forecasting purposes; maintains and organizes allcustomer analytics portfolio-related data; interprets customer analytics results and presents findings to management; participates in the deployment ofweb-based surveys used to collect customer data; creates business analysis reports from customer analytics data extracts; maintains and organizesall business portfolio-related data; documents performance criteria used for evaluating business trends and activities; researches business-relateddata and generates and interprets basic analytics; assists in the preparation of charts, graphs, tables, and other tools to reflect business performance. Data Transformation & Integration: Possess knowledge of: Data quality guidelines; data customization techniques; data management tools; datatransformation processes. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Extracts data from identified databases; creates data pipelines andtransforms multiple data sources into usable data sets; develops knowledge of current data transformation processes; customizes transformed datasets for multiple audiences and reporting goals.
