Want to use your marketing skills in the food category to drive a great in-store experience for our customers? Are you someone who is creative, passionate and innovative, able to push our store experience to new heights by creating bold and exciting experiences that differentiate us from the competition? Do you have the ability to communicate a clear vision, develop a cohesive strategy and influence key stakeholders while seeing a project through from initial briefing through execution in the stores?  Are you familiar with graphic production, store layout, fixture design, and visual merchandising?

What you will do…

This role will lead environmental sign programs, brand launches and in-store promotions for the Food category by partnering with the Retail Marketing team and merchants to plan and execute the strategy from an omni-channel approach.  You will be responsible for re-imagining our customer touch points including signs, events and sampling for the fresh meat and produce, snack and beverage, and fuel categories, creating an enjoyable and easy-to-shop experience so that our customers can find what they need while being inspired with what they want. 

Bring business strategies to life for our customers- Research best-in-class in-store marketing executions, customer insights, and do competitive analysis.   Work closely with Retail Marketing partners, peers, and merchants to develop channel instructions/briefs to help convert the categories business priorities to successful customer strategies and bring them to life at store.  

Produce compelling in-store messaging and experiences – Collaborate with external agencies and internal creative partners as well as external print production, event promotion companies, and project management services to deliver quality programs, promotions and events, on-time and on-budget in a way that allows for successful store execution and a great customer experience.

Analyze results – Collaborate with Customer Insights, Finance, and outside partners using qualitative and quantitative methods to measure key KPIs for each project including metrics such as sales, traffic, awareness, NPS, etc. and report on results.  Apply changes to final deliverables or future projects based on learnings and results.

What you will need…

  • Minimum requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field and 4 years’ experience in marketing or related field OR 6 years of experience in marketing
    or related field.

  • Candidate should have strengths in the competencies of planning and judgement, as well as communication. 

  • Candidate will need to have a global mindset and passion for retail space.

  • Preferred Qualifications: In-store marketing experience for food category for a grocery chain or big box retailer.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field and 3 years' experience in marketing operations, business management, or related field
OR 5 years' experience in marketing operations, business management, or related field.
3 years' experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
