Bonobos is looking for an Inbound Operations Manager to lead and drive efficiencies in our operation.
We are seeking a highly organized and energetic Inbound Operations Manager to join our Logistics team. This position requires a multi-tasking individual to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a solid background in import supply chain management and will take a proactive approach in all inbound freight and customs clearance related processes.
The Inbound Logistics team oversees the flow of product from departure from manufacturer through delivery and receiving at our 3PL warehouse partner. Our Logistics team is the hub at the center of many departmental spokes; we help hold the wheel together and move it forward. You will be an integral player across all divisions of the company including frequent collaboration with Planning, Production, Wholesale, Accounting, Internal Systems, Merchandise, and Tech Design teams.
What you’ll do...
Partner with our freight and 3PL partners on constantly improving delivery and receiving performance and planning for growth
Identify ocean and drayage freight benchmark to ensure our cost base is market competitive
Proactively stay informed on the latest CBP and OGA regulations, ruling issuances, and industry trends
Research trade related matters such as tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, trade remedies, and free trade agreements
Stay three steps ahead in planning for and executing on logistics needs to support our dynamic, growing business
Manage daily inbound shipment flow and ensure containers are delivered to our warehouse on-time and in-full
Ensure SLAs and KPIs are meeting expectations
Implement internal tools and processes that scale to support the business
Drive continuous improvement, iterating on process and seeking opportunities for time and cost savings
Develop strong relationships with the internal cross functional teams, coordinating and updating on inbound delivery status and schedules
Develop and maintain relationship with our freight forwarding partners, as well as with our in-house customs consultant
Develop and manage inbound logistics freight budgets
Develop and provide growth opportunities for your team
Have at least 5 years experience across the following areas: imports, trade compliance, ocean freight and shipping, or procurement
A fundamental understanding of tariff classification, valuation, duty minimization and avoidance strategies, government regulations and rulings, and other trade information
Have at least 2 years experience managing a team
Can successfully build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
Are extremely detail oriented and methodical while also being curious, adaptable, and comfortable with change
Are obsessed with process, efficiency, innovation and iterating on the norm
Can problem solve and think strategically in the moment when things don’t go as planned
Have a sense of urgency and can jump right into the middle of a project without feeling overwhelmed
Have excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external vendors
Are excited to think big picture as well as get your hands dirty relabeling inbound product on the warehouse floor
Have strong proficiency in MS Office and Google programs, specifically Excel and Google equivalents
Possess strong analytical skills
