What you'll do at

Assists management with the supervision of Associates in the area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, teaching and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating Associates. Trains departmental associates in technology merchandise and services by implementing company training programs; delivering training and training documents; and ensuring all technology area sales associates are trained before being released to the floor to serve members. Provides technology service to members by identifying potential members' needs for services; explaining services' benefits or advantages; delivering price quotes; and asking members if they would like to add a service to their merchandise purchase or previous purchase. Sells technology services, electronics, photo, and wireless merchandise to members by explaining prices, features, capabilities, product assembly for electronic merchandise including TVs, DVDs/DVRs, computer accessories, computer systems, and electronic media. Communicates and explains Membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective Members to assist with account decisions, build Membership levels, encourage renewals, and promote the value of Sam's Club products and services. Maintains safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines; following proper forklift spotting procedures; following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials; following company steel standard guidelines; and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintains the Sales Floor in area of responsibility in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Performs and documents equipment maintenance and upkeep, including following company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations (for example, performing, logging, and responding to silver recovery test and output measurement in the photo area, following proper equipment startup and shutdown procedures, maintaining and ensuring chemical integrity, and reporting down equipment to vendor and/or management). Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company's products and services. Follows Company and legal policies and procedures for Liquor sales by securing merchandise, maintaining signage, verifying Member identification, and completing and maintaining paperwork, forms, and required documentation.
