What you'll do at

Develops program financial and business forecasts by collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial aspects of the business plan; ensuring proper forecasting of business and financial performance; measuring and reporting on fiscal and business performance metrics; analyzing program results; and applying learnings to business planning process to improve future performance. Mitigates risk of errors, omissions, and inefficiencies and ensures compliance with laws and regulations by establishing and maintaining operational processes and controls in conjunction with the Legal and Compliance departments; ensuring compliance with internal standards (for example, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), recordkeeping guidelines) and external requirements (for example, licensing, accounting, regulations); staying up to date on current and pending legislation; monitoring audit findings; and identifying and correcting potential issues. Develops a compelling vision and strategy for member offerings through service and alliance partners by ensuring strategy results in best-in-class offerings to members; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business to eliminate barriers and obtaining buy in from executive leadership to drive adoption of the strategy; and ensuring strategy and partner relationships result in continued revenue growth. Builds and oversees relationships with supplier and alliance partner base by managing relationships to ensure implementation of member strategies; evaluating potential suppliers and alliances for quality and competitiveness; issuing requests for proposal and competitive bidding with potential suppliers and partners; awarding business to suppliers and partners with the best capabilities and terms for services offered; negotiating contracts; and leading executive-level conversations with strategic partners to ensure they receive long-term value from the alliance with Sam's Club. Oversees department budget and profit and loss (P&L) by forecasting resource needs and expenses for personnel, travel, and other controllable and non-controllable expenses; monitoring actual expenses versus budget; and revising budget priorities as appropriate.
