Walmart Media Group (WMG), the digital advertising arm for Walmart, is dedicated to driving measurable outcomes for our suppliers, merchants, brand advertisers, and ad agencies. Walmart Media Group is seeking a rockstar performer to help create and drive change for WMG’s Enterprise Transformation team. This trailblazer role will require a multi-dimensional associate that can work across multiple teams in the Walmart ecosystem and has demonstrated success in navigating complex, multi-layered organizations to create positive, quantifiable business outcomes.. We are seeking an associate that has a strong background in retail, understanding marketing and media, and an ability to bring merchants and marketers together to deliver for our customers. This leader will be creating data-driven strategy, gaining alignment across multiple stakeholders, and forging the path for new ways of working between WMG and the new Omni Merchandising organization, and other teams across the Walmart ecosystem.


  • Drive Adoption:  collaborate with the new omni merchandising organization to build strategy, put it into action, and iterate when needed to drive adoption and cross-functional buy-in
  • Help build the Playbook: There is no playbook for how to create a world class ads business inside of the world’s largest retailer…so it is up to us to work across the org to build it.  This will include partnering with WMG Learning and Development, Omni Merchant team, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to manage and provide quarterly updates
  • Find opportunities: Proactively find opportunities to drive omni integration by performing ad hoc analyses, building business cases, and creating alignment across WMG stakeholders
  • Work really well with others: This will require a mastery of cross-functional program management and will require creation of new processes and ways of working across the WMG Product, Sales, and Operations teams.
  • Be thorough: Partner with Data Governance to ensure proper use of information
  • Take Project Management to the next level:
    • Own weekly team stand-ups to deliver initiative updates, timelines and drive next steps
    • Own and drive adoption of Microsoft Teams for WMG Enterprise Transformation team
  • Be the go-to: Act as a connecting thread for WMG and the rest of the organization by identifying and breaking down silos, making introductions and calling out opportunities to combine workstreams as appropriate
  • Thought and people leadership: Teach and mentor others on how to operate in a complex, multi-layered retail organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of large-scale retail experience across merchandising, eCommerce or finance
  • Experience pulling data from multiple sources, synthesizing, and delivering it to leadership to drive business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and EQ skills
  • Problem solver and ability to roll up sleeves to get things done
  • Ability to perform and adjust to a constantly changing, ambiguous environment
  • A+ Powerpoint, presentation, and story-telling skills
  • MBA
  • Previous CPG experience
  • Experience working inside of Walmart merchandising, eCommerce, Corporate Strategy, Business Operations
  • Experience working with Walmart internal systems: Flight Deck, Retail Link, and Microsoft Teams
