Manager, Tax – International Tax
Location: Bentonville, AR

The International Tax Manager will develop and execute tax-focused financial modeling and data analysis supporting our global tax strategy. This role is critical in driving insights across multiple jurisdictions to optimize effective tax rates, support international planning initiatives, and comply with evolving global tax regulations. You will collaborate cross-functionally to build data-driven models and assess the tax implications of business decisions across Walmart’s international operations.

About Global Tax at Walmart
The Global Tax Team at Walmart is responsible for managing the company’s tax strategy, compliance, and risk across all jurisdictions where Walmart operates. Given Walmart’s global scale, this team plays a critical role in ensuring tax efficiency, legal compliance, and alignment with the company’s business strategies.

What you'll do...

  • Design and manage complex quantitative models to assess tax impact arising from various planning scenarios, restructuring alternatives, and tax policy changes. 

  • Support forecasting and scenario modeling related to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, and foreign tax credit. 

  • Monitor and interpret quantitative data to identify planning opportunities and mitigate risks. 

  • Collaborate with International Tax Planning, M&A Tax planning, and the business to analyze operational changes and their tax impacts. 

  • Support compliance and provision teams with data and model inputs related to international positions. 

  • Ensure audit-ready documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and controls around all modelling and analysis activities. 

  • Assist with responding to tax authority inquiries and audit requests involving model outputs. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • 4+ years’ experience in international tax, quantitative tax modeling, or financial analytics. 

  • Strong understanding of international tax rules (e.g., Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, Foreign Tax Credits). 

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in complex areas. 

  • Experience managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. 

  • Proficiency in Excel, professional tax software, and data analytics tools.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax
