Data Venture’s Customer Success team is looking for a seasoned Technical Writer to oversee our technical content across various platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate developer documentation, including user guides, API references, tutorials, and integration walkthroughs, as well as other materials as needed for both technical and non-technical audiences. You will work closely with Product Marketing, Product Managers, Engineering Teams, and stakeholders from other teams to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content, aligned with business objectives and initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and passionate about producing engaging instructional content that can proficiently train our fast-growing clientele on various Data Ventures solutions and tools.

What you'll do...
Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will collaborate with the Developer Experience Product Manager to help shape the API content strategy and vision for future guides, tutorials, and learning paths
- Create clear, concise, and accurate guides, tutorials, and technical walk-throughs that cater to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work closely with GTM, Marketing Ops, Product, Business, Engineering, and stakeholders from other teams to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content, aligning the content strategy to the business objectives and initiatives
- Develop and adhere to API content style guides and best practices to ensure content consistency
- Strengthen cross-functional partnerships and work with subject matter experts to develop, produce, and deliver training resources tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Effectively manage concurrent documentation projects for multiple API and platform releases
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align documentation timelines with product delivery
- Own documentation project plans, tracking milestones and ensuring timely delivery
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced, iterative release environment
- Serve as a key point of contact in a high-visibility role, communicating status and risks clearly and proactively
- Audit content regularly to maintain its accuracy/relevancy, conduct in-depth research to identify content gaps and thoroughly understand the products, solutions, and processes that you will be writing about
- Measure the effectiveness of the API content and drive ongoing optimization to increase client engagement
- Adapt quickly in an often ambiguous and fluid environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience writing technical documentation for developers, engineers, or other technical users
- Strong understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and/or developer tools
- Proven ability to plan, write, and edit a range of technical content, including user guides, integration walkthroughs, and reference materials
- Experience effectively managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously in a fast-paced release environment
- Familiarity with agile development processes and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, QA)
- Proficient with collaboration and communication tools such as Slack, Jira, and Confluence to facilitate effective team workflows and agile project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using documentation tools such as Markdown, static site generators (e.g., Hugo, Jekyll, Docusaurus), Github, and CI/CD processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the strong ability to self-direct and meet deadlines
- Skilled in editing and proofreading complex technical material to ensure clarity, consistency, and correctness
- Experience adapting tone and style to suit various formats, including user guides, tutorials, and FAQs
- Strong command of grammar, style guides, and industry-standard documentation best practices
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into accessible language without sacrificing accuracy
- Proficient with APIs or written API documentation - case study will be provided

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
