If you're someone who takes pride in solving problems, working independently, and keeping things running behind the scenes, you might be the perfect fit for the Technician, General Facilities Maintenance role at Walmart.

In this role, you’ll help keep our facilities and equipment in top shape across multiple locations. One day, you might be repairing a broken fixture. The next, you could be coordinating with a contractor or troubleshooting a piece of equipment. If you're someone who likes variety, takes initiative, and can manage the unexpected, this is the job for you.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Performing routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities safe, functional, and looking good
  • Diagnosing and fixing issues using a variety of trades like plumbing, carpentry, and electrical
  • Responding to urgent maintenance needs and making sound decisions in the moment
  • Managing work orders, maintenance logs, and contractor schedules through internal systems
  • Coordinating purchases, warranty claims, and vendor communication
  • Making sure all work is completed safely and meets federal, state, and local regulations
  • Supporting the team by identifying repair needs and sharing recommendations to avoid future issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification will be provided onsite)

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00*

‎ 

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
