Position Summary...
As the Senior Director, Business Strategy, you will lead a highly talented team-building technology and tools for store associates to empower them and elevate their experience. This is a highly visible, influential role where you will champion innovation, drive transformational change, and foster a culture of creativity and collaboration. You’ll lead a team, develop high-impact business strategies, and work cross-functionally to deliver the tools that enable best-in-class associate experiences for everything from the Backroom to the salesfloor.About the Team

What you'll do...
- Lead and inspire a team, building a strong, innovative, and outcome-driven culture.
- Develop decision-making frameworks and metrics to track progress and communicate success to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams—driving alignment, translating business needs into action, and championing the use of AI and emerging technologies.
- Identify and define transformational change initiatives, manage change adoption across a matrixed organization, and ensure effective execution from pilot to rollout.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent, supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning.
- Foster a customer-focused environment and promote continuous learning and adaptability.
- Cultivate partnerships across Walmart to maximize impact, support operational excellence, and drive strategic initiatives.
What you’ll bring...
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams and developing strong team culture.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute business strategies in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong change management skills and comfort with ambiguity—able to innovate, create, and drive outcomes without a set playbook.
- Experience working with technology, product, or engineering teams; able to collaborate and communicate effectively across functions.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive business value and empower teams (deep technical expertise not required).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Operational knowledge of retail or store operations is a plus.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and building an inclusive and supportive culture.
You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
