Position Summary...

As the Senior Director, Technology Strategy - Building Management, you will be responsible for planning and executing Walmart’s Corporate Real Estate technology, vision, and strategy. This includes collaborating with Corporate Real Estate leadership to define and prioritize technology requirements to enable operations of and associate experiences across Walmart’s new Home Office and broader U.S. real estate portfolio. You will lead the development of product and platform strategies aligned with Corporate Real Estate goals, driving a roadmap that supports foundational, enabling, and experiential technologies. This includes smart building systems, digital workplace tools, building management solutions, reservation systems, workplace apps, sensors, and automation.

In close partnership with Walmart Global Tech, third party vendors and other stakeholders, you will ensure alignment with Walmart’s enterprise digital strategy and oversee the implementation of workplace technology solutions. Additionally, you will spearhead AI initiatives to optimize smart building operations, predictive maintenance, personalize workplace experiences and many other emerging opportunities.

What you'll do...

  • Lead strategy development for workplace products and platforms.

  • Coordinate the execution of the Corporate Real Estate technology strategy as well as maintain and adapt the roadmap for smart building and workplace technologies.

  • Oversee implementation and iteration of building technology solutions across the portfolio such as building management systems, integrated workplace management solution, workplace apps, and analytics tools.

  • Collaborate with Walmart Global Tech vendors and cross-functional business partners to ensure strategic alignment and roadmap delivery.

  • Organize the implementation and change management to support associate adoption of technology systems and data availability.

  • Oversee internal business partner and vendor relationships, contracts, and deliverables.

  • Drive innovation and operational efficiency through technology enablement.

  • Lead AI initiatives to enhance smart building optimization, predictive maintenance, workplace experience personalization and many other emerging opportunities.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in workplace products, ideally within Corporate Real Estate or related domains.

  • Deep understanding of smart building systems, workplace applications, and digital workplace technologies.

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Willingness to invest in teams to drive adoption, deliver value and curate the professional development of teammates.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent execution and communication skills.

  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI technologies and activating AI use cases in smart building operations, predictive maintenance, and workplace personalization.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, finance, strategy, or related area and 11 years’ experience in retail, eCommerce, strategy, operations, technology, management consulting, or related area.
Option 2: 13 years’ experience in retail, eCommerce, strategy, operations, technology, management consulting or related area.
