About the Team

The Enterprise People Technology team enables the successful deployment and adoption of people technology across Walmart’s global enterprise. Our solutions help managers and associates focus on what matters most—serving our customers and members. As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, we partner closely with Finance, People, and Digital Experience teams to deliver robust, scalable, and impactful technology.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and Innovate: Design, develop, and deploy large-scale applications, services, and systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with business, product, UX, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive Quality: Conduct design and code reviews, improve operational excellence, and champion best practices for high-quality software delivery.
• Mentor: Guide and coach junior engineers on technical challenges, design decisions, and career growth.
• Full-Stack Ownership: Engage across the tech stack, from front-end (React or similar) to back-end and data platforms.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and supporting high-availability systems in complex environments.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end delivery for complex production projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term business needs.
• Expertise in front-end development (React or similar). Backend architecture experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including stakeholder engagement, consensus building, and conflict resolution.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
