What you'll do at

Plans and executes employment brand activities and hiring events by working with Operations and human resource managers to determine workforce needs, and hiring event logistics including location, date and time; preparing leadership for employment brand presentations; communicating the Walmart employment brand; marketing the hiring event including sourcing and prescreening interested and qualified candidates to attend; coordinating/executing interview panels at events; communicating events to all internal and external customers and stakeholders; and communicating the results of the hiring event. Sources, attracts and hires candidates for business critical Global eCommerce positions by consulting with hiring manager and executives to analyze strategic talent needs and identify potential sources of talent; utilizing creative methods to source diverse talent (for example, social networking, job board and internet mining, referrals); partnering with appropriate organizations to market positions, identify talent, determine compensation and benefits information and position/job title hierarchies, host employment branding activities or co-hosted hiring events, and gather feedback on how Walmart can grow its employment brand; recruiting at local and national diversity and professional conferences/associations and professional colleges and universities; and orienting and educating interns so they convert to full-time associates. Provides excellent candidate care and client service by communicating steps of selection process and preparing candidate for interview activities; following up with candidates and hiring manager after interviews to communicate next steps; providing accurate and complete information when extending job offer; answering questions regarding benefits and relocation; helping to ensure there is communication between supervisor and new hire to create a professional environment and successful orientation; managing applicant tracking systems to ensure applicants are positioned appropriately and that they receive proper communication. Influences and participates with colleges and business schools to aid in recriuting efforts by developing strong relations with the deans of schools; interacting with faculty and staff; teaching and presenting on different leadership and management topics; and influencing the teachings of each school to reflect the values and behaviors Walmart is looking for in our leadership. Manages recruiting-specific projects by publicizing programs at relevant colleges, universities and associations; collaborating with cross-functional areas to align resources; identifying and encouraging potential applicants and alliances; identifying top candidates for program criteria; and furthering positive relationships with industry associations to develop employer-of-choice status. Provides recruiting and training and resources to hiring managers and Operations team by hosting training seminars or webinars to educate managers on recruiting skills and best practices; consulting with human resource (HR) managers to address talent gaps; engaging Operations and HR managers in recruiting activities to train them to be effective at employment branding and event recruiting; and instructing managers on proper resources to conduct recruiting efforts.
