Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the operation of multiple departments within a Walmart E-Commerce Fulfillment Center, specifically those that handle large or bulky items. This role requires flexibility to perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned, ensuring efficient and effective facility operations in a dynamic e-commerce environment.
What You'll Do...
- Departmental Operations: Assist in the operation and oversight of multiple departments, ensuring alignment with facility goals and objectives.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with individuals or groups, including customers, suppliers, and associates, both verbally and in writing.
- Business Planning: Drive and implement business plans for your area of responsibility to achieve production, quality, and safety targets, and support operational improvements.
- Staffing & Forecasting: Forecast staffing needs, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Data Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with company and logistics quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, using judgment and consulting others as needed.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and manage associates and leaders by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, and identifying training and development needs.
- Talent Management: Participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and performance evaluation processes for associates, leaders, and managers.
- Physical Requirements: Move up and down stairs; lift and carry merchandise up to 20 pounds; manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills; visually verify and inspect equipment and information.
- Documentation: Enter and locate information using computers or system communication devices; write documents and reports as needed.
- Work Environment: Work in environments with varying temperatures, including extreme heat or cold, wet or damp conditions; work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts; move through narrow, enclosed, or elevated spaces; wear required PPE.

- Experience in Operations Management and Logistics: Proven ability to manage operations and logistics processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Performance and Safety Management: Strong understanding of safety standards and performance management.
- Coaching and Team Development: Experience coaching, developing, and leading teams at various organizational levels.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and implement operational improvements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, overnight, and in changing environmental conditions.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00-$126,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years' experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
