Director, Tax – Transfer Pricing
Location: Bentonville, AR
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Transfer Pricing to join the world's largest retailer’s Tax Team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing overall direction and leadership in the development and implementation of transfer pricing practices, policies, and strategies within the organization.
About Tax at Walmart
The Transfer Pricing team plays a critical role in Walmart’s ability to navigate the complex landscape of global and domestic intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance and maximizing profitability across the corporation. The Transfer Pricing team is responsible for analyzing financial objectives and business needs, developing and implementing business strategies, plans, policies, managing the transfer pricing documentation process, APAs, and controversy matters. The complexity and scale of taxation at Walmart encompass our e-commerce business, brick & mortar stores, other business ventures, and beyond.
What You’ll Do:
Provide overall direction and leadership in the development and implementation of transfer pricing practices, policies, and strategies.
Coordinate multi-functional teams and manage the transfer pricing documentation process.
Manage responses to the IRS and other taxing authorities regarding transfer pricing issues.
Advise on plans for meetings and negotiations with government tax officials and direct the preparation of supporting positions.
Serve as a subject matter expert on United States and international tax issues.
Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in transfer pricing.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial objectives and business needs and develop effective strategies to achieve them.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across business units.
In-depth knowledge of international and U.S. transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in seeking and negotiating APAs.
Strong tax research and writing skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
