Business Partnerships at Walmart play a crucial role in enabling strategic decision-making, driving transformation, and delivering measurable business impact. We support senior leadership across the enterprise with data-driven insights, advanced analytics, and actionable recommendations to solve some of Walmart’s most complex challenges.

We are looking for a strategic, people-first leader who is equipped to advance AI implementation and adoption in the Merchandising function at Walmart. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to help shape the future of how we deliver business value through analytics, modeling, and innovation.

What you'll do...

  • Consult with senior leadership (Directors, Sr. Directors) to understand functional goals, surface key business challenges, and define metrics for success.
  • Translate ambiguous problems into clear strategies, leveraging data and analysis to develop business-aligned solutions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of analysts and managers, mentoring talent, fostering engagement, and promoting a culture of growth and inclusion.
  • Own end-to-end execution of complex, strategic projects within business areas, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and implement advanced data models and algorithms that inform strategic decisions and drive business performance.
  • Develop and iterate on proof-of-concept prototypes, collaborating with cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide thought leadership on data collection and advanced analytics approaches, anticipating trends and influencing long-term strategies.
  • Work closely with internal partners and external vendors to co-create scalable, innovative business solutions.
  • Champion continuous improvement by promoting the use of digital tools, new ways of working, and analytical best practices.

Preferred qualifications:

Business & Analytics Expertise

  • Strategic Consulting, Business Analysis, Advanced Analytics, Project Management
  • Experience in stakeholder management and working directly with senior executives
  • Experience in applied data science and/or large language model implementation.

Tools & Technologies

  • Analytics: Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python/R, Git, BigQuery, Airflow
  • Modeling: Machine Learning, Optimization, Forecasting
  • Platforms: GCP, AWS, Hadoop, Spark

Techniques & Methods

  • Business Strategy, Data Modeling, Statistical Analysis, Decision Analytics, Predictive Modeling

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

experience in data analytics or related field.
