What you'll do...

The Sr Manager will provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships, identifying business needs, and carrying out processes and practices. The role requires you to be well versed in optimization for First Mile Delivery / Inbound Transportation in addition to strong technical skills. The role is strictly based out of Bentonville, Arkansas (and is not open to Remote and Hybrid candidates) and will report to Director – IB/OB transportation.

The Team is responsible for building and implementing projects that help optimize the load planning processes for first mile network. The team is uniquely positioned to drive business growth across all avenues of Inbound Transportation. We work with multiple stakeholders at to accomplish the optimization unlocks. The team is also responsible for not just managing the optimization

processes but also automating them to reduce manual effort.

Business Partnerships

  • Consults with senior leadership business partners e.g. Sr Directors/Directors to understand overall goals/functional objectives decipher key business challenges identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success/criteria.

  • Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business

  • Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings.

People Development

  • Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives

  • Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills knowledge and work performance

  • Conducts performance and career development conversations if applicable

  • Maintains team motivation and engagement

  • Mentors less experienced associates and managers

Project Scope

  • Owns complex projects end to end for a business area category or prototype

  • Manages risk associated with implementation

Model Development

  • Develops data models algorithms approaches for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value

  • Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions

Proof of Concept and Prototype

  • Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production ready complex algorithms for complex projects

  • Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development

  • Collaborates with cross functional partners e.g. software engineering category management on prototypes and algorithms

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Leads the development and execution of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems and support data driven decision making Makes strategic recommendations to cross functional leadership based on analysis results

  • Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with functional leadership and cross functional teams e.g. Categories Customer Experience Merchandising to develop consultative solutions for complex projects for a business area category or prototype

  • Collaborates and partners with external business partners and vendors

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs developing and communicating business plans and priorities removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance providing resources identifying performance standards measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training mentoring assigning duties building a team based work environment establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations providing recognition and rewards coaching for success and improvement and promoting a mindset in the workplace

  • Promotes and supports company policies procedures mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction toothers in their use and application ensuring compliance with them and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy

  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans programs and initiatives consulting with business partners managers coworkers or other key stakeholders soliciting evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness
    and participating in and supporting community outreach events

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years'
experience in data analytics or related field.
