VIZIO’s Technology – Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products.

What you'll do...

In this role, you will perform front-end testing of VIZIO TVs, ensuring that user-facing features function as expected and deliver a high-quality experience.

You will execute prepared test plans while working closely with developers to validate new features and provide feedback during the development cycle.

As part of your quality assurance duties, you will review project deliverables to ensure they meet defined quality standards and align with overall product goals.

You will also be responsible for creating test plans for the QA team and delivering weekly test reports to management to track progress and highlight any concerns.

Additionally, you will analyze and troubleshoot QA-related issues promptly, contributing to a smooth and efficient development process.

What you will bring:

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess at least five years of experience in Quality Engineering. Candidates without a degree may be considered with equivalent hands-on experience.

You are proficient in Python and shell scripting, particularly for embedded device environments, and bring strong experience in debugging embedded systems.

You have a solid understanding of performance testing and data collection, and you're comfortable working within an AGILE development environment.

Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jira, and test case management platforms is expected.

You have demonstrated expertise in log parsing and analysis using tools and scripts, as well as in writing unit test cases for graphics applications, video playback, and system health monitoring.

You bring creativity and initiative to continuously improve test coverage and overall quality.

Bonus points if you have experience with Smart TV or Soundbar technology, or knowledge of video streaming protocols and related technologies such as DRM.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...
