Director, Supply and Availability – Last Mile Delivery

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact as a Director of Operations leading Supply and Availability within Walmart’s Last Mile Delivery (LMD) organization? In this high-visibility role, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of demand forecasting, supply planning, and driver availability across both OnDemand and Scheduled delivery channels. You will play a critical role in shaping Walmart’s ability to meet growing customer expectations with speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

What you'll do...

Director, Supply and Availability – Last Mile Delivery

The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor, operational execution, and strategic foresight, while demonstrating a strong ability to influence cross-functional partners and develop scalable solutions. You’ll be expected to lead a team, drive innovation through data, and balance short-term availability goals with long-term capacity planning to ensure optimal delivery performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Demand Forecasting & Planning:
  Build and evolve demand forecasting models using historical data, external trends, and business insights to anticipate future delivery needs across all geographies and channels.

• Driver Supply Strategy & Availability:
  Design and implement proactive strategies to optimize driver supply across time, location, and fulfillment type, ensuring consistent delivery availability for both OnDemand and Scheduled services.

• Omnichannel Demand Integration:
  Lead planning efforts across fulfillment modes (delivery, pickup, third-party carriers) to ensure integrated and flexible demand management across Walmart’s Last Mile ecosystem.

• Multi-Carrier Capabilities & Execution:
  Scale and manage partnerships with external delivery partners while maintaining cost-effective and customer-centric service levels.

• Performance Management & Optimization:
  Leverage performance data and analytics to identify opportunities, monitor driver engagement, reduce delivery cancellations, and drive continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Leadership:
  Partner with Product, Tech, Finance, and Field Operations to align priorities, solve systemic issues, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  Proven experience building and executing business plans, processes, and OKRs across multi-layered operations.

• Analytical & Data-Driven Decision-Making:
  Comfort working with complex datasets, identifying trends, and using data to influence decisions and drive accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience.
