Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Perform server-side programming using Java frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring, and J2EE technologies. Implement OOP concepts to create modular and maintainable code. Use core Java techniques while developing services. Design and implement web applications with Spring MVC framework following the Model-View-Controller architectural pattern. Create architecture diagrams, service specifications, sequence diagrams, and technical design documents for application development. Create and map Java objects to database tables using Hibernate annotations or XML configuration. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful web services that conform to REST architectural principles. Configure and handle Apache Tomcat Web Application servers. Develop event driven architectures using Kafka to enable seamless data flow and communication between different applications. Build Java application with Azure cloud service for file storage and data management. Deploy the application to the Azure cloud platform. Set up CD/CI pipelines for the applications to ensure smooth delivery of the products. Design the relational database schemas using normalization techniques and NoSQL relational database Cassandra using distributed data storage. Conduct unit testing and integration testing of RESTful APIs using tools like Junit, Mockito, and TestNG. Utilize GitHub for tracking code changes, managing branches, and collaborating with development teams. Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) with Jira to manage sprints, and Confluence to create and maintain technical documentation.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.
Skills required: Experience developing user interactive web applications. Experience coding using Object Oriented Programming and Java technologies. Experience with Hibernate and Spring. Experience with Web Server. Experience designing and implementing Kafka Producers and Consumers. Experience with Cloud Services. Experience with Jenkins. Experience with testing frameworks including TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management System MySQL. Experience designing and testing NoSQL databases including Cassandra and MongoDB. Experience with rule engine or drools framework. Experience building logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions using Splunk. Experience with version control tools including Git and BitBucket. Experience with Jira and Confluence. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
