Position Summary...
Join Walmart/VIZIO and take your career to the next level!The Walmart/VIZIO QA team is located in Dakota Dunes and handles both configuration and cloud releases for both feature and maintenance around the Smartcast platform. We intake work from multiple development teams and test the software to ensure quality and integration with all other software components. QA also works with the firmware and OS platform testing including feature and quality improvement releases.
What you'll do...
This position involves comprehensive software testing, covering everything from user experience to core logic and feature inclusion. You will regularly communicate with developers and product management teams to report and discuss issues. As part of your role, you will also learn how to read software logs, perform shell scripting, and conduct analytics testing. Documentation is a critical component of this position, as clearly written and high-quality issue reports are essential for helping developers understand and resolve problems efficiently.
What You Will Bring:
You have completed a GED or high school diploma. You are capable of effectively documenting and troubleshooting errors, with a sharp eye for detail and the patience required to investigate complex issues. Your analytical mindset, critical thinking abilities, and problem-solving aptitude allow you to approach challenges methodically. You are highly organized and able to follow detailed processes precisely.
Your strong verbal and written communication skills enable you to work well across different divisions, and you are comfortable driving issues forward and producing high-quality outcomes with significant autonomy. Ideally, you have prior experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role. You are familiar with test management software, such as Test Rail or Jira, and have experience with project management and QA methodologies.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00-$45.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
