As Head of Creative at Sam's Club you will serve as Sam's Club's creative leader — overseeing all aspects of creative across internal teams and agency partners. This role is both visionary and hands-on: setting the creative standard, leading the creative community, and ensuring that every expression of the brand builds brand equity, drives membership value, and reinforces the unique personality of Sam’s Club.

What you'll do...

  • Drive the Creative Vision. Serve as the steward of the Sam’s Club brand identity — leading a bold, cohesive, multi-sensory expression of our member experience across every touchpoint.
  • Build and Lead a Modern Creative System. Oversee a hybrid creative model — directing in-house teams and leading our external agency partners — to ensure social-first, high-velocity, high-impact creative across brand, digital, performance, and retail.
  • Champion the Member Experience. Translate our brand promise into tangible creative across physical and digital environments — from campaigns and content to in-club experience.
  • Fuel Creative Excellence + Efficiency. Build scalable creative processes and systems that empower rapid iteration, content personalization, and GenAI-powered production — without compromising the craft.
  • Collaborate Across the Business. Partner deeply with Marketing, Product, Membership, Merchandising, Tech, MAP (our ads business), Financial Services, and Operations to ensure high-performing creativity is embedded throughout the full member journey.
  • Inspire and Uplift the Brand. Bring cultural fluency, emotional intelligence, and creative courage to push Sam’s Club into new territory — and to surprise and delight members at every turn.

Who You Are

  • A modern creative leader with 15+ years of experience, including leadership roles in agency and/or brand-side organizations.
  • Deeply experienced in both brand building and performance creative, with a passion for data-informed storytelling.
  • Proven at leading cross-functional teams and agency partnerships, with a strong POV on how to scale creativity in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Enjoy working in fast-paced, test-and-learn cultures — with a balance of creative rigor and operational flexibility.
  • A natural culture-builder — able to lead internal and partner teams with inspiration, clarity, and high expectations for quality and inclusion.
  • Excited to build something — and to shape a brand and experience that reflects the future of membership, retail, and modern creativity.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience leading or implementing corporate or brand identity evolutions
  • Fluency in GenAI creative tools and platforms
  • Background in retail, membership-based models, or consumer services
  • A track record of integrating content, commerce, and community into creative strategy

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 8 years' experience leading creative teams OR 10 years’ experience leading creative teams.
8 years' supervisory experience.
As permitted by applicable law, provide evidence of full vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines OR secure approval of medical or religious accommodation for the vaccination mandate.
