We are building a best in class marketing organization that is tasked with converting Walmart customers into Walmart+ members and continuously delivering value to them. The team is structured along the lifecycle of a member, from awareness to trial and then to utilization and retention. This role will lead the organization in charge of driving member retention and lifetime value. Primary responsibilities include: Strategy and execution Develop an overarching strategy to drive trial and utilization of Walmart+ features and benefits, with special focus on understanding how engaging with them drives retention and CLTV Lead cross-functional efforts to develop lifecycle marketing strategy, owning the communication strategy (what we say and how we say it) and leveraging channel owners for channel specific strategies Collaborate with product management, data science, engineering and creative to develop solutions at massive scale (machine learning personalization models, dynamic content strategies & technology, location-based push notifications, etc.) Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns, and using advanced analytics and AI to optimize them Collaborate with the CRM team to test and launch strategies to optimize push, email, re-targeting and in app messaging channels with the goal of creating more engagement and delivering higher lifetime membership value Establish key performance indicators for initiatives, drive implementation of analytics requirements, conduct in-depth analyses and adjust campaigns or plans to maximize performance Oversee performance across all lifecycle and behavioral campaigns and present key insights to marketing management and business partners Insights & Analytics: Lead the analysis of all campaigns based on the defined KPIs and goals Utilize data to provide recommendations and strategic insights to inform optimization and initiatives to support a lifecycle communications strategy Provide reporting requirements and partner with Analytics to produce regular reporting dashboards and management reports to manage retention KPIs and member engagement Develop testing plans and conduct A/B or multivariate tests in order to continuously grow email and push notification channels • Develop a deep understanding of consumer habits and act as an internal advocate for innovative solutions and marketing campaigns that will acquire and retain the best members Build and maintain a test and learn roadmap to continually optimize the performance of all member lifecycle marketing campaigns Leadership Build a high performing team, that is seen as a strong strategic partner to the cross-functional teams (internal media agency, creative and product teams, etc.) Manage and mentor 2-3 associates Basic Requirements 10+ years relevant experience in B2C marketing, specifically leading a CRM team Experience in membership or subscription business required Experience developing customer pathing and site analytics reporting Experience in driving successful programs through key communications channels such as email, push, in-app messaging and re-targeting A strong pulse on best-in-class retention practices, including 1:1 personalization, triggers, email deliverability and best-in-class creative approaches. Deep data-driven skills, strong test and iteration frameworks and understand how to optimize communications programs to deliver upon overall company goals and metrics Deep CRM and segmentation skills in order to deliver the right message, to the right cohorts and the right time Experience working with high-performing cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, data, and technology to drive objectives and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a high attention to detail. Highly proficient in excel. Knowledge of and interest in customer behavior, retail, brand and direct response marketing. BA/BS degree with strong academic record. MBA a plus.
