What you'll do...

Strategic Acumen: Possess Knowledge of: Member buying behaviors across channels; Channel specific consumption trends; Key Member experience touchpoints across channels; Member feedback collection techniques. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Understands customer behavior (for example demand trends, buying behaviors) across channels and within specific channels. Monitors customer feedback, itemreviews, and alternate information channels (for example, social media). Interprets customer data (for example, purchase frequency, NPS, customersatisfaction), shares findings, and develops plans for improvement with cross-functional partners, peers, and leaders. Identifies opportunities topursue new items and categories and improve customer experiences. Researches industry and macroeconomic trends (for example, commodityprices, unemployment rates, purchasing power) and changes in competitor strategies and offerings. Communicates findings and insights to cross-functionalpartners, peers, and leaders. Weighs the pros and cons of channel strategies for items within the assortment. Reviews the financial implications (for example, shipping and packaging costs) of item channel availability. Maintains open communications with peers and cross-functional partners to understand opportunities to coordinate strategic decisions and simplify ways of working.


Digital Literacy and Analytics: Possess Knowledge of: Technologies, techniques and digital practices for the evaluation of business performance data; ability to analyze business performance using advanced statistical methods to justify and drive future business planning decisions. To be able to carryout the following responsibilities: Analyzes merchandise sales data and metrics (for example, item/category/department sales, turns, in stock) using appropriate tools, dashboards, and data sources in order to extract relevant information. Develops insights and take actions based on pertinent data. Leverages data to inform item decisions (for example, pricing, markdowns, quantities) and corrective actions. Collects and analyzes industry and competitor data (for example, competitor sales results, trade surveys, data firm reports). Adapts strategies to leverage industry trends. Provides feedback to cross-functional partners on the relevance of industry data sources. Analyzes alternative and emerging data sources (for example, search engine results, external research publications). Incorporates emerging data sources into analyses as appropriate. Leverages data analysis tools to explore complex data sets, develop and test hypotheses, use data to influence strategic work, and build, present, and apply insights to decision making processes. Identifies the need for new tools or information sets.


Financial Management: Possess Knowledge of: Principles and methodology of finance management; tools and processes needed to manage financial assets and liabilities throughout the organization. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Understands the elements of profit-and-loss statements. Derives insights and researches opportunities to take corrective actions. Supports the development of business cases and recommendations to deliver projected returns on investment or cost savings. Conducts hindsight analysis as needed. Reviews in-season reporting and financial results for key seasonal events. Coordinates with cross-functional partners to determine financial plans and inventory purchase amounts.


Supply Chain and Operations: Possess Knowledge of: Common activities and tasks performed in Supply Chain and operations functions; general compliance, regulatory, and safety guidelines; process flows between functions. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Coordinates with partners to identify inefficiencies related to Supply Chain and Operations (for example supplier service, delivery schedules, inventory levels/flow packaging, merchandise display standards, item placement, other merchandise related factors). Maintains open communications with supplier and vendor partners to understand Supply Chain processes and review performance. Collaborates with Supply Chain partners to understand network capacity, transportation considerations, and other logistics complications. Follows up with Supply Chain partners to understand shrink and waste resulting from merchandise and supplier issues. Monitors item quality feedback and identifies quality issue trends. Monitors the impacts of actions taken to improve Supply Chain and Operations efficiencies on the profit-and-loss statement.


Supplier Performance: Possess Knowledge of: Supplier Performance guidelines; supply failure data and issue resolution plans; merchant feedback channels. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Gathers and prepares data on supplier non-conformance with performance guidelines. Supports the execution of escalation protocols and procedures to resolve supply issues and improve future supply. Gathers and prepares data related to supply failures and supports action planning for issue resolution. Educates suppliers on item life-cycle setup and compliance within new and existing core systems.


Data Quality Management: Possess Knowledge of: Data quality management techniques and standards; business metadata definitions and content data definitions; Data profiling tools, data cleansing tools, data integration tools, and issues and event management tools. To be able to carry out the following responsibilities: Promotes and educates others on data quality awareness. Profiles, analyzes, and assesses data quality. Tests and validates data quality requirements. Continuously measures and monitors data quality. Delivers against data quality service level agreements. Manages operational data quality management procedures. Manages data quality issues and leads data cleansing activities to remove data quality defects, improve data quality, and eliminate unused data. Determines user accessibility and removes or restricts user access as needed. Interprets company and regulatory policies on data. Educates others on data governance processes, practices, policies, and guidelines. Manages item status flags to ensure timely markdown and exit occurs at the club level in conjunction with the Demand Management Team.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00-$40.00*
