What you'll do...
We are seeking a detail-oriented Specialist to join our Wage Garnishment team within Payroll Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local agencies in withholding required funds from associates' wages. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management
- Manage compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to wage garnishments
- Analyze and interpret reports to ensure accurate processing of garnishment orders
- Implement and monitor human resource compliance processes
- Process exception reports to ensure compliance is maintained
- Develop action plans to improve performance and ensure confidentiality of information
Business Analysis & Support
- Support the Wage Garnishment team in developing strategies, practices, systems, and activities
- Conduct analyses of initiatives to understand and communicate existing trends
- Analyze and interpret data related to wage garnishments
- Translate data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives
Customer Service Management
- Handle escalated service issues, including calls with attorneys and plaintiffs
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence with various internal and external customers
- Research complex questions and issues to resolve problems
- Communicate systems problems and resolution proposals to senior leadership
- Serve as a liaison between departments, third-party administrators, and various customers to resolve highly complex issues
Systems & Technology Management
- Manage equipment, software, and network requests for the team
- Submit requests for technical equipment, hardware, workstations, and software as needed
- Create user accounts and implement changes in the systems
- Work with vendors on upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance of systems
- Create documentation and training materials for department use
Security Management
- Manage security access for associates and vendors
- Enter information into appropriate software applications following security protocols
- Back up hard drives to maintain confidential information
- Monitor annual service and respond to questions regarding security access
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Information Technology, Finance, or related field
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- 1-3 years of benefits administration experience
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
