What you'll do...

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing maintenance rounds across assigned buildings, ensuring compliance with building standards, and addressing customer service requests. This role involves a combination of hands-on maintenance tasks and coordination with other departments to maintain a high standard of facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance rounds to inspect and repair workspace furniture, walls, floors, office chairs, and restock office supplies and copy paper.
• Perform weekly building compliance walks, including testing eyewash stations, inspecting mechanical closets, ensuring cleanliness and operational status of building docks, and checking workstations for appliances.
• Manage and address customer service tickets related to building and workspace issues, using basic hand tools for furniture repairs and coordinating with contractors for tasks beyond the scope of in-house capabilities.
• Represent Walmart and the Campus Operations department in a professional manner, providing excellent customer service and clear communication.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable using basic technology and digital tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.

Working Conditions:

• This is a customer-facing role that requires regular interaction with building occupants and other departments.
• The role involves physical activity, including walking, lifting, and using hand tools.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00-$40.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
