What We Do

At People.AI, we focus on Gen AI and AI-powered knowledge, data, and action automation.

  • We developed a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) based knowledge Q&A system for internal associates by ingesting Walmart-specific policies, the company handbook, and process guides.

  • We engineered a next-generation agentic system to automate HR transactions for managers and people partners through a natural language conversational interface.

  • We implemented text-to-SQL and agentic analytics capabilities to convert structured and unstructured data into actionable insights.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers: Work closely with data engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility.

  • Data Analysis and Model Development: Utilize your expertise to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights to drive business decisions.

  • Implement GenAI Solutions: Leverage GenAI technology to build innovative solutions that enhance productivity and provide personalized experiences for Walmart associates.

  • Develop RAG Pipelines: Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to improve the accuracy and relevance of knowledge systems.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, science, and peer engineering teams to bring data-driven products to life.

  • Manage Data Science Projects: Oversee and manage the lifecycle of data science projects, from initial scoping to deployment and monitoring.

  • Anticipate and Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify potential risks in data science projects and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.

  • Integrate Testing and Maintenance: Implement robust testing frameworks and maintenance protocols to ensure the reliability and performance of data science solutions.

  • Cloud-Based Architectures: Leverage cloud-based architectures, technologies, and platforms to deliver optimized data science models at scale.

  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest state-of-the-art techniques in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

What You'll Bring

  • Python Expertise: A deep understanding of Python and its principles, with the ability to apply them effectively. Proficiency in other languages like R or SQL is a plus.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing and implementing data-driven solutions.

  • Experience with GenAI: Demonstrated experience working with Generative AI technologies and integrating them into practical applications.

  • Knowledge of RAG Pipelines: Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and their implementation in real-world scenarios.

  • Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in data science tools and technologies, including but not limited to, machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).

  • Data Engineering Fundamentals: Strong foundation in data engineering principles, with the ability to design and maintain efficient data pipelines.

  • Intellectual Curiosity: A passion for data science, GenAI, and cloud technologies, and a desire to stay current with advancements in the field.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
