This role will be based out of our home office location in Bentonville, Arkansas, and relocation to this location will be required.

As a Senior Analyst (Sensory), you’ll leverage your skills in technical methodologies and science to support the development, execution, and optimization of product development, sensory, and member experience programs. You’ll act as a trusted collaborator, guiding best practices in product evaluation, ensuring product and data integrity, and aligning your work with organizational objectives.

Your role will involve building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, proactively identifying needs, and delivering actionable insights to drive product innovation and quality improvements.

In this role, you will directly support Sensory Scientists and Senior Product Developers for the development of Food and Consumables items for the Member’s Mark Brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution & Coordination: Manage projects through sample preparation, sample distribution, and survey development. Coordinate and work alongside total Insights, Sensory, Product Development and Quality teams to prepare product, program surveys, in addition to collecting, analyzing and reporting data. Manage product inventory and storage space.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Product Development, Quality, Packaging, Sourcing, and Insights. Communicate sensory data with stakeholders to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution Implementation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to build on previous processes and create/enhance new processes as related to Sensory methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the projects you manage, including process optimization with time and cost-saving measures. Help create a culture that thrives on feedback, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Blend Sensory Expertise with Product Knowledge: You have a foundation in sensory evaluation techniques and understand how to apply them in product development contexts. You're familiar with food science principles, ingredient functionality, and formulation strategies.
  • Have great skills with computers and have the ability to learn software/platforms: You can seamlessly navigate the Microsoft suite of programs and are a quick learner for new software.
  • Excel in Collaboration and Cultivate Strong Relationships: Able to seamlessly work across departments, you develop strong working relationships with teams, including Insights, Product Development, Packaging, and Quality. This approach ensures a deep understanding of the needs of both individuals and the business as a whole.
  • Communicate Clearly and Effectively: Whether through written reports or verbal updates, you can articulate complex project details in an easily understandable way.
  • Have Experience with Chemistry Laboratory Techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Sensory Science or relevant field and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of sensory science in all qualitative and quantitative methodologies (affective, descriptive and discrimination).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science with related experience in a professional setting in Sensory Science or consumer research and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and knowledge of statistical data collection and analysis.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects in an efficient, timely and precise manner. Excellent in time management and strong organization skill.
  • Excellent oral communication and ability to work independently, as well as a high aptitude for learning and adaptability.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00
