About the team 

The Walmart Marketplace Returns team is committed to improving customer and seller experience, supporting seller success, and driving growth by bolstering our seller service offerings. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to drive impact, create, launch, and own programs end to end.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager to support our Returns – Fraud and Abuse within Marketplace. The ideal candidate will drive deep dives on the returns process, ensuring solid fraud detection models are implemented balancing customer and seller attributes, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation. Your expertise in SQL and/or Big Query will be required in analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement.

What you'll do...

  • Provide thorough data analysis to support strategic business decisions by identifying ongoing analytical needs, creating standardized reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop consistent, actionable data-driven strategies.

  • Lead the development of business performance dashboards, delivering actionable insights on site content performance, customer engagement, and conversion metrics. Ensure reporting is both insightful and tailored to business objectives.

  • Expertise in e-commerce Fraud and Abuse to be able to establish measurable KPIs to track site performance and identify areas of opportunity. Drive initiatives to improve the customer/seller experience and boost overall site effectiveness and reduce the losses due to fraud.

  • Create and implement strategies to meet and exceed KPI targets, such as refund rates, fraud cancellations, and fraud contacts reductions. Present performance results to senior leadership on a weekly basis.

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners and leadership teams, gaining buy-in through clear communication and effective presentations of content strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area AND 5 years' experience in project management or program management.

  • Fraud/risk background within the e-commerce or technology industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or other data investigation and BI tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 3 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

  • Option 2: 5 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related areas.
