As a Senior Designer at Walmart, you will be at the forefront of creating world-class children’s apparel known for its innovation, design, function, fit, and quality. Under the mentorship and partnership of a Design Director, you will lead and develop the product line from initial concept to garment production. Your role involves embedding intuitive innovation into each product while seamlessly blending function and aesthetic.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be an expert with extensive experience in both girls and boys’ children’s wear within a successful commercial space.
- Strong understanding of apparel market and trends
- Exhibit organization and clear communication to thrive in a high-paced work environment with an advanced multi-track calendar.
- Drive success within a multifaceted organization, ensuring your team is connected and up-to-date in PD, Fit, Merchandising, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Color and Textures, Planning, Product Education, etc.
- Lead, collaborate, brainstorm, and co-create concepts, seasonal direction, and design as both a leader and a mentor.
- Collaborate with Merchants to harmonize commerciality with innovation. Understand the importance of running a high-volume business, closely monitoring sell-through, and reacting to market shifts and consumer trends.
- Design and execute industry-leading, highly functional styles that reflect Walmarts design ethos and meet our customers’ needs.
- Demonstrate a sharp understanding of pattern, movement, and technical construction to communicate effectively with Fit, PD, factories, and 3D teams.
- Attend fittings and participate in construction reviews, considering aesthetics, function, and cost/IMU of garments.
- Partner with ambassadors/athletes to continuously elevate existing and explore customer needs.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
