The senior director of compliance and development will oversee the alcohol, tobacco and firearms development and implementation of complex corporate compliance programs across all 14 areas of expertise by anticipating the company's business needs and ability to respond to compliance risks; influencing the establishment of compliance measurements and performance goals; shaping the direction, initiative, and strategy of the company's overall compliance goals and risks; coordinating the process of gathering and relaying information to executives, ethics and compliance leadership, and subject matter experts to further refine and execute ethics and compliance strategy; overseeing cross-functional execution in order to increase program success and adherence; driving risk assessments and audits of corporate ethics and compliance programs for area of responsibility; and ensuring the development and execution of resolution plans for audit concerns and findings.
Oversees the effort of regulatory outreach by coordinating regulatory outreach efforts and boundaries with applicable subject matter experts, the Legal Department, and the Government Relations Department; ensuring the company's ethics and compliance programs and reports are communicated to regulators in a persuasive, accurate, and understandable way; communicating success of the ethics and compliance programs to key stakeholders (for example, regulators, federal, state, and local officials); providing compliance-related advice to business leaders; providing recommendations to the Senior Vice President, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer on ethics and compliance strategies; and developing external relationships and alliances that strengthen the company's reputation with federal, state, and local ethics and compliance contacts.
Oversees the development of ethics and compliance analytics and reporting initiatives for executive-level management by reviewing ethics and compliance results and trends of internal and external ethics and compliance data; ensuring data integrity; preparing reports and presentations; ensuring data is protected from unauthorized release or use; identifying the greatest ethics and compliance risks to the company; overseeing the risk identification and mitigation process; partnering with management teams in the communication of the plan for resolution of compliance risks; and advising systems teams on the development of new or enhanced ethics and compliance reporting tools and systems. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
