Job Summary:

Walmart is looking for a passionate DevOps Leader who is eager to solve significant customer problems across a horizontal organization. USOmniTech focuses on building reusable technologies that aid in acquiring customers, onboarding, and empowering merchants. This includes end-to-end supply chain fulfillment both in e-commerce and stores, delivering customer orders via store and last-mile fulfillment.

As a DevOps functional owner, the role expects the associate to work end-to-end with different teams to build a strong DevOps strategy, define a technical roadmap, and foster a strong people culture with extreme ownership.

About the Team:

USOmniTech Operations, DevOps, and E2E are responsible for the operations, stability, and reliability of highly optimized products to manage the entire gamut of the USOmniTech lifecycle for our retail and e-commerce lines of business. With our rapidly increasing footfalls in stores and exponential growth in online orders, this all has to be done to scale millions of owned and marketplace SKUs, completing inbound and outbound fulfillment lifecycles.

The team’s mission - “Enable customers to receive their orders when and where they want in an innovative and cost-effective way for Walmart” - derives from Walmart’s mission statement: “Save Money. Live Better,” complementing our organization’s philosophy to deliver low prices every day, on everything.

How we achieve this comes down to the team of operation specialists and the smartest technologists from India focused on the entire suite of supply chain management products for the Walmart Supply Chain at a massive scale. From forecasting and replenishing inventory for millions of items worth billions of dollars, sourcing millions of orders, to route optimization and last-mile delivery to Warehouse Management Systems, to the most advanced grocery and order management systems, and item and inventory systems. The operations team will minimize any disturbance to supply chain operations by proactively identifying and remediating potential causes, resulting in minimal to zero system downtime.

With over 1,500 associates in the US and India, we’re bringing together some of the best professionals from around the world. If you’re inspired by the opportunity to solve complex problems at scale and make a difference for our customers and members, join us.
