Drives the execution of multiple process improvement initiatives or aspects of larger initiatives by working with internal customers to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues with their processes; defining the scope and objectives of initiatives; leading process improvement activities (for example; process requirements, risk assessment, current and desired diagrams, target dates); developing process initiative plans; developing resource plans for and leading process improvement working groups; removing barriers and obstacles that impact working group performance; developing budgets and contingency plans; incorporating changes (for example, scope, schedule, costs) into the process improvement plans; and ensuring adherence to established quality and process engineering standards for GBS Emerging Tech.
Manages and leads the analysis, identification, and development of process design changes to improve performance and reduce process waste for Global Business Services (GBS) and its global customers by leading business and systems process analysis; facilitating working group sessions to identify process waste and create or improve processes; developing new processes, process improvements or business process reengineering; testing complex data to determine its statistical characteristics and identify trends; performing analyses (for example, statistical, root cause, failure mode) and hypothesis testing; validating the soundness of statistical techniques used; ensuring integration of new processes with existing ones; partnering with internal and external customers to ensure process changes meet long-term business strategies; and participating in change management activities to assist the adoption and use of new and changed processes.
Provides and supports project planning and implementation by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; preparing project question responses; identifying quality, change request and project failure root causes; identifying project requirements; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; proposing problem solutions; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Creates and delivers presentations on product roadmap, issues, status, change request and plans to diverse audiences (for example, managers, customers, suppliers, all stakeholders and project staff) by gathering required information; developing materials; and identifying recommendations.
