What you'll do...

Walmart eCommerce is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for driving digital inclusion. This individual will be responsible for driving accessibility projects, developing requirements for WACG conformance, creating training materials, and conducting accessibility workshops, tear downs and training sessions across the organization. This associate will have the opportunity to educate and enable product owners, designers, developers and business partners to evolve how we weave accessibility into the core of our culture and the foundation of the way we work.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate engaging, highly impactful accessibility training sessions for teams across http://Walmart.com and its digital properties.

Develop and enhance moderately complex products by creating product requirements, collecting and analyzing data and turning customer insights into actionable priorities and initiatives.

Partner with subject matter experts to evolve existing training materials and develop new techniques and materials to drive accessibility across multiple teams.

Develop scalable methods to onboard new teams and new hires.

Coordinate, complete and oversee job related activities by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying and communicating objectives, building accountability for achieving results and identifying improvement opportunities.

Coach and mentor associates as they ramp up on accessibility.

Make complex ideas simple and find creative ways to advocate for accessibility.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company values, mission and standards of ethics and integrity.

Advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace to promote an inclusive environment and deliver inclusive experiences.

Drive design and engineering office hours to consult teams and provide real-time feedback on accessibility to improve access and usability for all.

Collect feedback to constantly measure the effectiveness of processes, training and accessibility to improve efficiency and drive results.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in inclusive design, business management, engineering, design or other related fields.

At least 3 years experience in driving accessibility requirements and projects

Must be familiar with WCAG and other related accessibility standards.

Knowledge of various types of assistive technology, including screen readers across devices and platforms, and requirements for multimedia inclusion.

IAAP certification (CPAAC or WAS)

Knowledge of ARIA and HTML and CSS

Excellent written and oral communication / presentation skills
