Leads site development processes. Collaborates with a variety of partners, stakeholders, engineers, and consultants during the project development and design stages to ensure successful project completion.

Evaluates market strategies and project feasibility. Considers factors such as energy market dynamics, project economics, regulations, potential risks, permitting requirements, and project timelines to ensure project viability and alignment with strategic market goals .

Demonstrates a deep understanding of local energy markets, project development, risk management, spend management, commercial negotiations, and problem-solving. Develops energy solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

Translates an understanding of energy markets into actionable development strategies. Develops strategies that deliver economic value and/or address heightened needs for energy security and reliability at critical assets.

Accelerates the deployment of the energy infrastructure. Builds a systematic method for rapidly identifying high-priority sites, which is crucial for streamlining processes and accelerating project execution.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or related area and 3 years' experience in energy project development.
Option 2: 5 years' experience in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or related area. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Distributed energy project development, specifically solar and energy storage, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (power system emphasis desired)., Project management experience in the solar and/or energy industry
