About Walmart Energy Transformation
The Walmart Energy Transformation team is a newly reimagined energy team that was created to ensure the team has the resources and internal positioning to deliver on Walmart’s energy-related regenerative goals. The team now reports directly to the COO of Walmart US and the Chief Sustainability Officer.
This new organization is responsible for:
Buying energy and optimizing for the lowest cost in regulated and wholesale markets. Meeting our renewable’s goal of 100% renewables by 2030 Increasing the energy efficiency and reducing emissions across our facilities Meeting our 2040 Zero Emissions goal, including transitioning our fleet to zero emissions vehicles
We are a team of seasoned energy veterans dedicated to realizing Walmart’s regenerative commitments and leveraging Walmart’s platform to support the decarbonization of our customers, associates, communities, and suppliers. Track record of leading complex, business impacting analytics projects with broad groups of stakeholders to ensure efficient, effective and accelerated delivery of business impacting insights and analytics
Experience working with renewable energy, storage systems, power electronics, energy efficiency, ZEV fleets, and relevant performance tracking/monitoring analytics
History of mentoring team members and setting best practices within both the team and broader organization

At least 10/15+ years of professional experience in a similar data and analytics role
Possess strong planning, scheduling, and project management skills with the ability to plan and work independently and manage the tasks of other project team members
Demonstrated experience leading complex, business impacting projects to completion while maintaining and managing stakeholder expectations
Displays high intellectual capacity, sound professional judgement and discretion to lead in complex, changing and ambiguous environments
Strong advanced decision making and analysis skills – draws information and broad knowledge to make timely and logical decisions that provide practical solutions

Leading a small team that develops and maintains business impacting analytics that provide insight's and aids decision support for the various various strategic initiatives within Energy Transformation
Analyze business problems / needs and design technology driven solutions to address the business needs. Set relevant deliverables based on established success criteria and define key metrics to measure effectiveness of the solution
Define and identify the most suitable sources for required data that is fit for purpose, referring to external sources as required. Review the deliverables of junior associates and provides guidance on data source and quality.
Contribute to strategic business decision making regarding key initiatives. Build and sustain various dashboards to quantify and track KPI’s for our portfolio of initiatives
Build compelling stories based on context to integrate multiple pieces of information into cohesive insights. Present to and influence diverse audiences using the appropriate data visualization frameworks and conveys clear messages through deep business and stakeholder understanding
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
