Position Summary...

What you'll do...

  • Strengthens leadership of the department by participating in department and corporate meetings and working with other supervisors to ensure consistency in quality, training, and overall management of the department.

  • Manages custodial team by ensuring that custodial processes are completed according to company safety procedures and guidelines and federal, state, and local laws and regulations (for example, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, state health department regulations) by wearing personal protective equipment, participating in human resource team functions (for example, interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations), coordinating communications among team members to ensure consistency, and conducting daily coaching by walking around (CBWA - refers to a specific method or training session used by Walmart).

  • Plans and coordinates custodial services to meet operating and financial goals by reducing dependence on outside custodial service contractors, scheduling services, and ensuring quality management of the custodial services.

  • Manages administrative support to department by ordering materials and supplies, providing input into the development of the operating budget, and monitoring and tracking expenditures of the section.

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices, supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs, and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifying business needs, determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices, monitoring progress and results, recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities, and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans, using the Open Door Policy, and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.'
