About the Team:

Join the Global Procurement team to be a key partner to the Realty & Operations business for the world’s largest retailer. The Senior Manager role will lead Global Supplier Performance, bid process, source store supplies/fixtures worldwide, and develop and implement sourcing strategies and processes that support key business objectives which optimize product cost, quality, and supply.

About the Position:

The position will play an important role in developing and implementing category strategies, revision of the supplier matrix and product, and process innovation to leverage Walmart’s scale. As a Store Sourcing expert, the individual in the role will provide market intelligence, industry trends and will partner with cross functional teams to enable seamless execution with high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

• Recommending and implementing strategies that lead to business growth.

• Leading bid negotiations that include Walmart & Sam’s Club US and Walmart International, delivering best total cost of ownership.

• Maintaining and updating the supplier matrix for your categories including new sources of supply.

• Driving product and process innovation, surety of supply and high standards of compliance.

• Building strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners; works collaboratively to achieve objectives.

You will sweep us off our feet if… 

• You have in depth knowledge of Indirect Procurement and Supplies/Fixtures in the Retail Industry

• You have category management expertise

• You have system experience in COUPA, TABLEAU, SAP

• You have demonstrated success with process improvement to identify and implement solutions while leveraging cross-functional teams

• You have proven negotiation skills

• You possess natural curiosity to learn beyond the minimum requirements to perform role

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
