Walmart Data Ventures (WDV) is focused on productizing Walmart’s rich data assets to better serve customers and provide data products that deliver actionable, customer-centric insights to help merchants and brands make better business decisions. We are searching for someone driven to join our dynamic Sales Center of Excellence team. This person should have excellent process management and communication skills, understand the need for and foster teamwork, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.  To be successful, you should be curious, dependable, responsible with your time, and able to develop an excellent rapport with your teammates and internal stakeholders. A top-notch candidate should be a self-starter, problem solver, and always looking ahead for opportunities to improve the work product, increasing the value delivered to the organization. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide ownership of critical business processes, ensuring that information used for important business decisions is from an accurate source and partnering with cross-functional teams when issues are identified to drive from identification to resolution. 

  • Develop standardized processes related to sales and account management functions inside Salesforce and other technologies utilized in the sales process 

  • Ensure account management and business development teams are kept up to date on new product functionality that would be meaningful for improving/enhancing their processes and workflows 

  • Work with Billing and Finance teams to facilitate and improve end to end process of the sales cycle  

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations to solve business issues 

  • Support ad-hoc projects related to business growth in new markets and initiatives 

  • Identifying root causes and developing potential solutions for initiatives; and making recommendations based on data and observation 

  • Partnering with account management, business development, product management, Tech partners, and other groups to drive projects 

  • Implements operational best practices that can be scaled as the business grows and develops by developing mechanisms and tools to roll out these best practices 

  • Gather data requirements and partner with cross-functional teams to initiate client setup into Walmart Luminate suite of products 

  • Monitor, track, and investigate support tickets related to Salesforce development and/or user issues 

  • Identify and address improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning 

 

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS or equivalent 4-year degree required 

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in business operations, sales solutions, sales strategy, account management, or monetization 

  • Strong verbal and written communications – able to communicate effectively across varied audience base such as Product, Account Management, Business Development, and Leadership. 

  • Expertise in Excel, Salesforce, DocuSign, Jira, SQL relational databases and BI tools like PowerBI 

  • Salesforce Admin Certification a plus 

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple, simultaneous solutions executed by support teams 

  • Experience developing or overseeing quantitative analysis and delivering actionable insights 

  • Self-starter mentality and entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive for excellence and delivery of results 

  • Some business insights or analysis 

  • High level of accountability; proven ability to take ownership and solve problems
