About the Role
As the Director of Paid Media for Walmart Business, your focus will be on developing full-funnel B2B media strategies and plans aimed at small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits. This includes leading our B2B agency team, working in an integrated fashion with internal media partners, having a deep understanding of the business audience, the marketplace, overseeing our buying strategy, creating and strengthening media and tech partnerships, reporting and optimization of paid media campaigns. This person will ensure we are driving efficacy of investment, balancing the need to meet ROAS goals with the imperative of driving brand awareness and affinity. This position needs to remain on the cutting edge of understanding and implementing emerging B2B media channels and tactics.
Challenges you’ll tackle:
Work closely with key members of the Walmart Business team , media agency partners, creative agency partners, and across the Walmart Marketing team to drive holistic marketing strategy, acting as media Subject Matter Expert
Develop the next level of integrated media and marketing strategies and create plans that drive significant impact, innovation, and move both brand and business metrics
Lead communications planning and media buying strategy across multiple paid channels through each phase of the funnel, and partner with campaign lead on budget allocation
Leverage insights, learnings, and modeling to help determine the right channel mix
Generate data-driven plans with personalized messaging served during the right mindset
Lead media agency team to ensure that strategies and plans deliver against business objectives
Develop and grow partnerships with current or emerging leaders in B2B marketing and technology
Develop detailed media segmentation on business owners to help derive insights as well as create target audiences
Oversee media agency team in weekly reporting efforts and align on optimization recommendations
Lead media agency team in recapping performance and providing insights to campaign lead and creative agency to aid in making creative optimization decisions
Media and communications executive with 10+ years of deep functional and leadership experience in both B2B and B2C media strategy and planning. Media agency and media client experience is a must.
Big picture conceptual thinker as well as a doer
Superb communication skills, spanning from written and oral presentations to negotiations with media properties
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong experience in brand-building and performance digital marketing
Work effectively within a matrixed organization in partnership with key business partners- internal and external
Retail experience is a plus
