Walmart seeks a Senior Manager, M&A Integrations & Separations, to join its Transaction Management Office (TMO) reporting directly to the Global Head of Corporate Development. Corporate development addresses key strategic areas of inorganic growth. The TMO team is a smaller group within Corporate Development that leads program management for store, e-commerce, and health & wellness acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and investments. Specifically, it drives pre- and post-deal integration/separation planning, execution, and risk management to achieve deal rationale, value drivers, and synergies.
You will partner with deal sponsors and other senior leaders to define program value drivers to build and operationalize value delivery plans. You will co-own value delivery plans with deal sponsors and directly lead cross-functional teams to deliver planned integration and separation activities ensuring favorable returns on investments. You will engage in driving Walmart’s most transformational programs working with a close-knit cross-functional team and engaging senior leaders across functions to help deliver them.
Participate in early evaluations and M&A diligence to understand strategic objectives and provide early voice on integration and separation planning and risks
Lead all integration and separation efforts - working with functional experts across the company
Develop collaborative relationships across a matrixed organization
Draft a comprehensive project plan for each deal that includes all workstream and functional tasks to achieve target value metrics
Develop and drive integration and separation budget consensus for each transaction aligned to the plan
Provide regular progress updates to deal executives and key stakeholders
Manage target stakeholder relationships as their single point of contact
Help develop M&A best practices for the company
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
6+ years of strategic and project management experience
Demonstrated leadership and influence management skills
Proven ability to think strategically about transaction objectives and map diligence and detailed integration or separation project strategy
Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills
Ability to hold team accountable while maintaining collaborative spirit
Passion for driving value in acquisitions and divestitures through integration and separation activities, respectively
Open, direct, & respectful communication style with excellent oral & written communication skills
Effective at leading executives and team members at every level of the organization
Practical experience with communications, culture, & change management
Encourages team collaboration through evolving productivity tools like playbooks
Continuous improvement & process optimization mindset
Ability to build relationships and establish trust quickly
BA / BS degree from a leading academic institution; MBA a strong plus

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience
i n accounting, finance, or related area.
1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
